Moving toward a more full-time role in writing has given me the opportunity to learn how successful both writing in community and from conversation can truly be.
For four weeks I’ve been writing among creative peers, learning to develop better disciplines and skills for publishing. In that time I’ve learned more about myself and how I relate to other people than I thought possible.
It’s amazing to me when we step outside of a very small portion of our personality and become exposed to others in a broader way, that we become attractive (in a curiosity or discovery sense) to others. This awakens old things that we long laid down and opens new opportunities for engaging in life.
I wrote this as a response to that experience.
