Truth Repels the Natural Man

As Jesus continues to teach He knows that the truth causes the natural man to complain and grumble. So, He reinforces the truth of the gospel and the totality of His disciples leaves sans the twelve.

Midweek Teaching: Assurance and Faith is Found IN Christ Alone

This midweek sermon is dealing with the topic of assurance is based on the finished work of Christ and reveals that James & Paul concur that it is all centered on the work of Christ alone through Faith, not works. While works are commanded of the believer and church discipline can be enforced, Christ alone through Faith alone is the biblical prescription for hope.

Difficult Teaching is Impossible to Hear

This week in John’s gospel we begin to see the Lord Jesus Christ reiterate the truth that they could not believe because they had not been given life through the Spirit by His words. So, they grumbled about Him, stirring and being divisive concerning the truth of the gospel of Grace.

Being holy and sanctified is not what you think.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in Christ with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places,
4 even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love
5 he predestined us for adoption to himself as sons through Jesus Christ, according to the purpose of his will,
6 to the praise of his glorious grace, with which he has blessed us in the Beloved.
7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of our trespasses, according to the riches of his grace,
8 which he lavished upon us, in all wisdom and insight
9 making known to us the mystery of his will, according to his purpose, which he set forth in Christ
10 as a plan for the fullness of time, to unite all things in him, things in heaven and things on earth. – Ephesians 1:3-10

No man can stay in Christ except Christ Keep that man!

John 6:55–58

[55] For my flesh is true food, and my blood is true drink. [56] Whoever feeds on my flesh and drinks my blood abides in me, and I in him. [57] As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so whoever feeds on me, he also will live because of me. [58] This is the bread that came down from heaven, not like the bread the fathers ate, and died. Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.”

Only Jesus Satisfies… is that true?

John 6:41–51

[48] I am the bread of life. [49] Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died. [50] This is the bread that comes down from heaven, so that one may eat of it and not die. [51] I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And the bread that I will give for the life of the world is my flesh.”

Theology is the Gospel

John 6:44–48

[44] No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws him. And I will raise him up on the last day. [45] It is written in the Prophets, ‘And they will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard and learned from the Father comes to me—[46] not that anyone has seen the Father except he who is from God; he has seen the Father. [47] Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever believes has eternal life. [48] I am the bread of life. [49] Your fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, and they died.

The Father TEACHES of the Son

John 6:41–51

[41] So the Jews grumbled about him, because he said, “I am the bread that came down from heaven.” [42] They said, “Is not this Jesus, the son of Joseph, whose father and mother we know? How does he now say, ‘I have come down from heaven’?” [43] Jesus answered them, “Do not grumble among yourselves.
