It appears that my flesh continually, under the guise of righteousness, takes to heart every offense; whereby I long for harmony and reconciliation, not because of the gospel but mainly because of my desire to be well met in thought and word. So, as the Lord Jesus is so gracious He supports His work with clear vision of my flesh and by seeing I am able to correct by His grace then putting off the ‘old man’ and putting on Christ’s new man which He has made me. What a Savior!
