With my fifth child and fourth daughter I found myself thinking it odd to sing “Patty Cake” to her calling her a baker man. So I changed it up and thought I’d share it.
Patty Cake, Patty Cake Baker Girl
Pit em and Pat em and give em a whirl
Throw em in the oven on the baking rack
And in a few minutes we’ll have a snack!
The hand motions are about the same, but in a few minutes we touch our watch and with “we’ll have a snack”, we rub our belly. She likes it. Maybe I’ll put it music and sell a CD.
God is good, even in crazy little creations like these.
