There are many false teachers that don’t know it!

In our world few individuals know how to speak accurately, read comprehensively or communicate effectively. We live in a time where it is easier to laugh, poke, scoff and make fun of someone and their ideas rather than be confronted by the fact that we just don’t know how to listen. Reading and applying the Scriptures is no different. From 140 characters to emoticons, the Bible has long been misapplied because it is literature and must be read as such. Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to Biblical truth because truth in ignorance is purveyed as error and error can be lethal.

Time machines are not available…

So we’ll just have to use what we have. While not a necessary ‘tool’ in our belt for interpretation, knowing and realizing that the bible is an OLD set of writings is imperative. Not because it is out-dated, but because there may be some things in there that we don’t need to mash into our contemporary timeline.

We appreciate your listening and look forward to seeing this podcast get off the ground with great force. By the Lord’s grace, we’ll continue to provide more and more teaching on this and other pastoral subjects.

WWJD is not the answer!

Narratives tell what happened, they don’t always tell us what we are to do. When we apply narratives wrongly we can actually cause people to walk in sin out of ignorance and worse, even hurt their fellow man. This podcast will talk about this error and give a few examples such as the daughters thrown out during the destruction of Sodom; Jesus’ cleansing the temple, and the Apostles calling out heretics. Let’s listen and learn.
